1. General
1.1 London College of Finance & Accounting UK Ltd (LCFA) is registered in England No. 5943273 as a private limited company. LCFA is a provider of accountancy, business management, hospitality management, information technology, health & social care and linguistic courses (hereinafter referred to as "the courses”) to students.
1.2 By registering and enrolling on the courses, students agree to be legally bound by these present terms and conditions, and as modified from time to time.
2. Privacy
LCFA does not collect individual user details, unless a user voluntarily submits such information. LCFA does not share that information with outside sources, and is committed to keeping such information confidential.
3. Admissions & Courses
3.1 It is the student’s responsibility to register with the relevant professional body, where applicable, or enter for any examinations held externally.
3.2 Unless otherwise stated, fees for courses quoted are for tuition only. Other fees are not included, i.e. registration fees with professional bodies and / or examination boards, examinations fees, books, manuals and so on.
3.3 If the application form is signed on behalf of the student by his/ her sponsor/ guardian/ representative, these conditions will still apply.
3.4 All declarations made on admission are accepted in good faith. Any false declaration about qualification or age, or any failure to produce documentary evidence of entry qualifications, may result in the expulsion of the student from the course to which he/she has been admitted. In such cases, the student will not be entitled to any refund.
3.5 LCFA reserves the right to cancel courses, amalgamate classes, change programs at short notice, should the need arise due to lack of demand.
4 Fees Policy
4.1 Source of Funds
Course fees are paid from the following sources:
- An employer or other recognized sponsor.
- Student or his/her family.
Students who are unable to produce acceptable evidence of support from their sponsor will be liable for the payment of their fees.
4.2 Registration Fees
A non-refundable registration fee must accompany an application for admission. This fee is not refundable under any circumstances unless the application has not been accepted or if the course in which a student has enrolled will not be run.
Registration Fees are as follows:
4.2.1 Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Higher Diploma : £ 100
4.2.2 Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses : £ 150
4.3 Payment of Fees
All students must enroll at the start of their course, and each subsequent year. At that time they must either provide an acceptable written guarantee from an official sponsor accepting responsibility for all fees due or make full payment of their fees and any registration fees for the academic year concerned or elect to pay by installments. LCFA will only accept student enrollment upon receipt of the relevant payments or sponsor authorization.
Those whose funding will come from outside the UK should apply well in advance for the necessary transfer of funds. LCFA will not agree to the postponement of payment of fees because of exchange control problem. Receipt of deposit payment is regarded as an acceptance of the Terms & Conditions of LCFA.
4.4 Sponsored Students
LCFA reserves the right to accept the sponsor's guarantee. In case where the guarantee is not acceptable, it is the student's responsibility to pay his/her fees at or before enrollment.
4.5 Payment by Students
Students who are on full time courses lasting more than five months and are financing themselves may pay their tuition fees in a single payment at the time of enrollment or by installments.

4.7 Single Payment
This should be paid four weeks before the start date by Credit Card, Personal Cheque, Bank Transfer, Cash or Bank Draft. If the whole fees are not paid after 30 days of start date or other notified date, the student would incur a supplementary charge of £ 50.
4.8 Payment by Installments
Students who are on a full time course lasting more than five months and are self-financing may pay by monthly installments. The minimum deposit is 50% of the course fee plus registration fee. This is due a minimum of four weeks before the start date of the course. A supplementary charge of 10% will be added to the tuition fees in case of payment by installments. The remaining fees will be divided equally into a maximum of four payments. Students paying by installments must make a payment every month on the specified date. The final installment must be paid no later than the fourth month of the course. The facility to pay by installments will be withdrawn from students who fail to meet installment deadlines.
Students who have tuition fees outstanding after the fourth month of the course will not be allowed to sit any formal examinations until the fees have been paid in full.
4.9 Late Payments
A penalty charge of £ 25 will be applied in all instances where payment has not been received by LCFA by the required date and each time a reminder letter is sent. LCFA does not accept any reason for delay in payment. Any transaction rejected by the bank will be classified as late payment and charges applied accordingly.
4.10 Conditions for Enrolment & Admission Policy
The College assumes that all prospective students will have thought long and hard about taking up a course and therefore applying for admission. However, no matter how well intentioned one is the College understands that there are many reasons for wishing to withdraw from a course, both before and after courses have commenced. Consequently, the College Policy on refund of fees upon withdrawal shall be as follows:
4.10.1 Once a student has been fully enrolled, no refund is permitted or shall be made except in circumstances and situation where the College is advised in writing at least four weeks before the commencement date.
4.10.2 No refund is permitted or shall be made when a student withdraws once classes have commenced.
4.10.3 In case where a prospective student is refused student visa, the College will refund all fees paid less £ 300 GBP administration charges. However, in such an event, no refund will be made unless the College has received all original copies of the College letters of enrolment plus an original copy of refusal from the appropriate immigration authority.
4.10.4 No refund is permitted or shall be made if a student enters the UK on a student visa obtained on the basis of the College’s letters of acceptance and enrolment.
4.10.5 No refund is permitted or shall be made when a student decides to leave the College for whatever reason after an extension of a student visa have been obtained through College facilitation.
4.10.6 Refund Procedure
Whenever a student or prospective student decides to initiate a request for refund, this must be done in writing to the Registrar. The request will be processed in terms of existing policy and if a decision is made, it will be conveyed to the applicant in writing.
4.10.7 Refund Time
Although the College will always endeavor to respond to refund requests with a sense of urgency, but under normal circumstances it takes up to ten weeks to process a refund.
4.10.8 Transfer of Fees to another Person
From time to time, students who fail to attend College for bonafide reasons normally request the College to transfer the fees to a relative or friend’s account. If and when the College decides to accept such a request, the fee will be transferred in full less £ 300 administration charges. The College is under no obligation to honour such a request and such decisions are at the discretion of management. If the transfer is in favour of an existing student, the College will credit the account of the student and under no circumstances will the College refund the money directly to a student when the student account is in debit.
4.10.9 Withdrawal within four weeks of course commencement
In the event a prospective student withdraws from a course any time between 4 weeks of registration and commencement date, a refund of fees will be made subject to a charge of GBP 300 being held for cancellation charges.
5. Full Refund
Full refund of tuition fees will be made if LCFA is unable to offer advertised course due to insufficient student enrollment or any other reason.
6. Course Deferment
If a student wishes to defer to the next term there will be a £100 deferment charge added to the tuition fees.
7. Payment of Refunds
Refunds will be made to the person or organization that initially made the payment on receipt of all original documents.
8. Attendance
Students are expected to attend classes regularly. LCFA reserve the right to terminate a student's course of study if attendance is insufficient. LCFA reserve the right to forfeit the tuition fees of students, if they are late, absent or leave before the end of their period of study for any other reason. The minimum attendance required as per the Border and Immigration Agency is 80% per academic year.
9. Indemnity
Each party will indemnify the other in respect of any costs, claims, demands, losses or liabilities (including reasonable legal fees) incurred by the indemnified party as a result of or arising in any way from a claim by a third party which results from any breach of the provisions contained in these Terms and Conditions.
10. Disclaimer
LCFA shall not be liable to any student for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data, profit or business however caused. LCFA's aggregate liability to any student, caused by breach of contract, negligence or otherwise (except in relation to death or personal injury), shall not in any event exceed either £1,000 or the amount that has been paid by the student, whichever is the lower. Neither party shall be liable to the other for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these terms and conditions caused by circumstances beyond that party's reasonable control.
11. Severance
If any provision of these terms and conditions is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, then such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to affect the intent of these terms and conditions, and the remainder of the terms and conditions shall continue in full force and effect.
12. Law & Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and the student agrees to abide to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
The Terms and Conditions are reviewed by LCFA from time to time. There is no guarantee that the conditions for payment or refund of fees will remain the same from year to year. All students must comply with the current Terms and Conditions. LCFA reserves the right to change or amend the Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice.
